Many low budget indy films that don’t have the funds to get a big actor are always in search of actors. Look in entertainment industry publications such as Back Stage or Variety for listings of the casting calls and auditions. A word of warning about this type of work is that it can be exploitative, make sure you are careful and do your research. These types of jobs are either good or bad, they can be an very good experience or it can be really bad.
